Happy June?
I really haven’t forgotten about this blog. Every now and then I feel bad for not updating in so long. The only problem is that there is absolutely nothing worth mentioning on a blog. (While the fact that Carli has abandoned us for the summer is important, I would imagine that anyone who would really care already knows.) What I’ve been doing since I got home, then, includes:
1. Sleeping either far too much or too little, depending on the night, just to keep my sleep-wake schedule on its toes.
2. Seeing people on occasion.
3. Not getting a job yet because I haven’t heard about financial information from Bryn Mawr and I have no experience.
4. Reading Naruto manga/awaiting the release and translation of chapter 310.
5. Getting my green belt, which is pretty exciting. Now I get to learn kata with kicks in them. On the other hand, though, I probably have to spar.
6. Attempting to learn the kanji taught to Japanese school children.
7. Playing FFVII with my little brother.
On the productive side, my room is almost clean. Also, I have been applying to jobs; I’d just much rather work at a bookstore, for example, than at a bank.

Ah, the only reason I survive is to read the next Naruto and Bleach manga each week! I don’t like how each week’s chapter ends so quickly without much happening, but at least they are better than the filler anime episodes.
Steve M. and I are planning to work on Casey’s legislature election gig over the summer (volunteering in our own way). Although he has a shot against Civera, he is not going to win over an incumbent unless the locals hear about him more. Therefore, I propose setting up a team of people to help promote his election through technology and other means. I have a lot of ideas right now, but the real action will be over the summer. If you have some time and are interested, it’d be great if you can offer your skillz.

I know exactly what you mean. I started reading the manga because I was getting tired of the fillers, and it was great until I got to the last published chapter. It might be a better idea if I let a couple of weeks go by so I can read several chapters at once.
I would love to help out with Casey’s election, and I definitely have a lot of free time this summer. Just let me know when you’re doing stuff/what I should do, and I’ll help as much as I can.

Ooh, I’ve been doing approximately 1-3 plus 6 if Japanese is Spanish and 7 if it’s Katamari. Now I want to be…a babysitter? Do you have any kids for me to sit?!
Mike, I want to help with the election, too!
